Local Commerce & Inventory Platform for E-Ride'z of Abilene

A fast, content-driven discovery platform for Abilene's first dedicated electric ride shop—connecting local SEO, a curated product catalog, service content, and live Square inventory signals.
01 / The challenge
What had to change.
The new shop needed to become discoverable locally, explain unfamiliar electric-ride categories clearly, and keep the public catalog aligned with a fast-changing showroom floor. Ecommerce was not operationally ready, so the site also had to create action without pretending online checkout already existed.
02 / The strategy
The moves that mattered.
- 01
Built a multi-page Astro site around appointment, call, visit, and ride-comparison journeys
- 02
Modeled ride data in Astro Content Collections so the catalog can map cleanly into a later Shopify pilot
- 03
Connected Square inventory webhooks to Vercel rebuilds so floor availability can update without manual page edits
- 04
Established canonical business data, local BikeStore schema, GA4, Search Console, sitemap, and editorial guides
- 05
Created a performance-conscious visual system with self-hosted fonts, CSS/SVG motion, and reduced-motion fallbacks
- 06
Documented pricing, image-rights, supplier, warranty, fulfillment, and MAP compliance gates before commerce launch
03 / The outcome
What changed
after the work.
01
11-model discovery catalog
structured for comparison today and future Shopify mapping
02
Live Square inventory loop
verified during real showroom sales and automated rebuilds
03
Local SEO foundation deployed
with canonical NAP, BikeStore schema, sitemap, GA4, and Search Console
04
Performance and accessibility QA
completed against a static, low-JavaScript delivery budget
05
Commerce roadmap defined
with operational and compliance gates ahead of checkout
The takeaway
The useful first release was not a premature online store. It was a dependable local-discovery and showroom system that could tell the truth about inventory today while creating a safe path toward commerce tomorrow.
